All proceeds from the sale of the t-shirts will go to fund and sustain Iyanna Henry's non-profit "I AM (Identity, Achievement Matriculation)™". The purpose of I AM is to increase the number of males and minority males who are prepared to excel in higher education and motivated to pursue a career in the legal profession.
I AM™ will partner with two local and prestigious educational agencies in Durham, NC to address an unmet mental health need: identity development and academic achievement among male students.
The goal of I AM™ is to 1) improve the self-esteem and self-confidence of males, especially with regard to their academic and intellectual abilities and capabilities, 2) increase the interest of males, in particular minority males, in the legal profession, 3) encourage high scholastic standards, and 4) promote positive and encouraging friendships among male youths. The primary objective of I AM™ is to increase the number of males and minority males who are prepared to excel in higher education and motivated to pursue a legal career.
